Cactus part-time language courses are typically offered at seven levels, from Cactus Level 1 to Cactus Level 7, suitable for students with and without prior knowledge of the language. Studied in sequence, the seven levels are designed to progress students from beginner level through to advanced. The programme can be picked up at any level, according to existing language skills. Each level can also be studied as a one-off course in its own right to build or refresh language skills at the chosen level.
Courses run consecutively throughout the year with breaks for the Easter and Christmas periods. This provides the opportunity for continuous training, allowing students to progress and move up to higher levels as their skills develop.
To help you decide which level is right for you, please look at the course level descriptions and take our online language level test.

The Teacher Joanna Lam is very nice and friendly, she is helping us to improve English communication. I would like to say thanks to Cactus and Lam.
(Nagaraju, Jan 2007 )I enjoy the way Tina teaches and she is well prepared for each class.
(Richard, Jan 2007 )Alice is great and makes the lessons fun. Her approach to teaching is no doubt the reason why people continue to attend the class. She has fun ways of explaining things that help me to remember what I'm learning. Her drawings are novel too. We laugh a lot and that motivates me to go to class after a busy day at work when I might otherwise be tempted to go straight home.
(Kerrie, Sep 2006 )Yes, very happy with first lesson. Rudy is a good bloke. Gave me some good ideas on easy ways to practice.
(Richard, May 2006 )I was very satistied because of the first lesson. We were two students and it is good to concentrate. The teacher is very interested and teaching. I think it will be good for me to learn basic things. Thanks for your interest...
(Duygu, May 2006 )The course went very well and was most useful, especially having a native French speaker conducting the lesson. I am looking forward to next Thursday’s lesson.
(Christopher, May 2006 )Linda knows exactly how much effort students need to make as she brings her personal experience of learning a language to the class. Her relaxed manner and teaching technique work very well.
(Christopher, May 2006 )Well, so far so good, I am enjoying my lesson, Perla is great, she makes Spanish fun and interesting.
(Ena Suzanna, May 2006 )Excellent. Thanks!
(Gideon, May 2006 )I have had my first two lessons this week and I have really enjoyed them and the teaching is brilliant, just at the right pace, not too slow but not too fast either!
(Tala, May 2006 )I attended the beginners Spanish course in Canary Wharf at lunch times with Perla from 16 May – 13 June. I was very happy with the lessons and Perla was an outstanding teacher! I would like to continue to the next level.
