Get ready for your holiday in just one weekend! Our accelerated Holiday Survival courses focus on practical language skills and local culture, helping you to pick up the basics and increase your confidence quickly, so you can make the most of your time abroad.
Learn to express yourself in the local language, e.g. introduce yourself, go shopping, make bookings and reservations, ask directions, use public transport and have basic social interactions with the locals. The courses are taught by experienced teachers of native-speaker level, who will give you a cultural context and understanding of the core social norms and customs.
Theses courses are suitable for complete beginners only, without prior language skills. To refresh previous language skills, try one of our Refresher Weekend Courses.
You can follow-up your Holiday Survival course with one of our 10-week, 5-week Fast Track or 1-week Intensive courses across the UK, or a full-immersion language course abroad, if you want a more in-depth preparation or to carry on learning after your holiday.
The course outlines give an overview of the content and learning framework of Cactus part-time group courses and include themes, grammar and vocabulary you can typically expect to cover. These are intended as a guide only and our teachers may at times adapt the course content to suit the specific level, aims and interests of the class.
