| This will be a group course which acknowledges
individual needs. Its content will be academically sound
and will promote and lead towards long term aims with the
language. The teaching, by native speaker teachers, will
be communicative, intimate, fun and will engage and stretch
the students. Although the emphasis will be on speaking
and listening, grammar will be included and taught in context.
Our courses are monitored throughout and feedback will be
gathered and acted upon by Cactus.

in 1991, Manchester
Academy of English is accredited by the British Council
and is a member of the Association of Recognised English
Language Services (ARELS). It is situated in the heart of
Manchester - you only have to step outside to be part of
all that the exciting cosmopolitan city of Manchester has
to offer. The teachers are all qualified to British Council
standards in teaching English as a foreign language. Their
aim is to deliver high quality, enjoyable courses, with
a lot of personal attention. The classes are small and friendly,
with a maximum of 12 students. Last year the school welcomed
students of over 50 nationalities.

The school is located on Newton Street in the
city centre, very close to Piccadilly Gardens and 3 minutes'
walk from Piccadilly Train Station. Surrounded by cafés,
shops and museums, it is close to all public transport routes.
