Welsh (Cymraeg) is one of the few Celtic languages still spoken today. It is mainly spoken in Wales, and more in the north of the country than the south - latest figures indicate that around 20-25% of the population can speak the language. Welsh is closely related to Cornish and Breton, and more distantly to Irish, Manx and Scottish Gaelic.

Welsh Beginner 1 Courses

Is this your level? You are a complete beginner and have no prior knowledge of the language, with the exception of perhaps a few key words.

Welsh Beginner 2 Courses

Is this your level? You are a "false beginner" - i.e. you have some prior, but very basic, knowledge of the language, and find it difficult to produce more than a few key words and phrases. Maybe you haven’t used the language in a while and/or want to start at "the beginning".
