I have been teaching German in Liverpool for 15 years. Since 2015 I have been a German Teacher in Liverpool for Cactus. I teach German at the Cactus centre in Liverpool.
I have been living in the UK for over 15 years.
I have been lived in China and in Japan for a longer time, so I also have a little insight into Japanese language and culture.
I have an M.A. (Magistra Artium) from the Free University in Berlin in Sinology (Chinese studies), cultural anthropology and sociology. I later obtained a certificate as a teacher for German as a Foreign language from the Goethe Institute in combination with the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU). I have been teaching German for undergraduates at the University of Liverpool, as well as classes from beginners to advanced (B2) at the Centre of Continuing Education.
I also worked as a Foreign Languages Assistant in a variety of schools, preparing students for their GCSE and A-levels. Back in Germany I worked in academia as well as in a media company dealing with multilingual project management.
Besides of my mother tongue I speak three languages, English, French and Mandarin.
My best teaching experience is when I feel that it clicks and when I see that students enjoy the learning process. This mostly also involves the discovery of how much culture there is in language learning.
Looking forward to seeing you in one of my classes. Auf Wiedersehen! TschΓΌs!
