I have been teaching for more than 3 years and I have been an Italian teacher in Leeds for Cactus since the beginning of January 2019. I teach Italian in the Cactus centre in Leeds.
I have been living in Leeds for almost one and a half years now.
I was born in Valdagno, a small city near Vicenza (north east of Italy). If you ever go to Valdagno donโt forget to stop by at Bar Carlotto, the birthplace of Bianco Rosso, a very strong liquor drink.
My Master’s Degree is in Comparative European and Non-European Languages and Literature from University of Verona, Italy. Since I graduated I have been teaching English as a Second Language in Italy, working in different schools, from Primary up to High School level. So I have a lot of experience teaching difference age groups, from children through to adults. When I was still studying at University I started to give private tuition to students, and I really like to work on building their confidence and developing their grammar and pronunciation in the foreign language.
In the University years I worked as an interpreter for different expositions and events in Verona.
I speak English, German, Spanish and of course, Italian.
My language learning tip is: watch movies in the target language, with or without English subtitles. It will help you with your pronunciation and understanding, and itโs fun too!
Iโm looking forward to see you on my course and teach you everything about Italian language and culture.
A presto!!
