I have been teaching since 2018, and I started teaching for Cactus in 2018 in Cambridge as well.
I lived in the UK from 2017 to 2018. Then I had to go back to Brazil and I came back to the UK in 2019.
I have a BA in Interdisciplinary Study in Humanities, a Licentiate Degree in Portuguese, a post-graduation in Text Revision and another post-graduation course in Grammar and Text.
I have also worked as a civil servant in Brazil.
I was born in Salvador (Bahia). The city is famous for its music, cuisine, beaches and carnival.
I speak three languages.
Do not be afraid of making mistakes. Do not be shy and take every opportunity you have to practise the target language. I believe a student should be aware of his/her strengths and weaknesses, and try to dedicate a bit more time to overcome his/her weaknesses. Nowadays, we have so many resources available that can help us to develop our language skills. I recommend students to access authentic materials (e.g. listen podcasts, read books and magazines), and take part in conversational groups. You can also make good use of technologies and try to make online friends, record yourself and listen, download apps that you like.
I hope to see you soon! Espero te ver em breve!
