I have been teaching Polish at Cactus since April 2008. Before that I was teaching in Warsaw, which sums up to over 20 years of experience. I teach Polish at the Cactus centre in London.
I landed in the UK shortly before starting to work with Cactus in April 2008 and started my life here in London.
I was born in a city called Chełmża located in central – north Poland.
I graduated at the University of Warsaw with a Master’s Degree in Iberian Studies.
Apart from teaching I work as a subtitler for Netflix. I translate movies, documentaries, series and other interesting programmes to Polish. This is my main occupation at the moment. I also invigilate exams at some universities and do some acting from time to time.
Polish may not be easy, but I know many people who learnt it and have no problem with communicating with their partner’s family or at work. During the course you will learn every day vocabulary through role play situations and you will get basic information about the grammar. The lessons are quite intense and you will need to revise the material at home, so that you do not get lost when we go ahead. I also strongly recommend you visit Poland and use what you have learnt in the language’s natural environment. We love it when foreigners try to speak our language, we will never correct you and do our best to assist you.
Hope to see you soon on your Polish course with Cactus!
