Our conversation classes languages
Conversation Classes with Cactus
Our 4-week conversation courses are delivered using our proven learning method. Our approach will give you the confidence to speak the language from day one. You can join our conversation classes for French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish.
The conversation classes are immersive and interactive. You will be motivated to speak the language from the first lesson. The classroom atmosphere is relaxed but focussed. You will engage in pair and group conversational workshops in every class. Classes will focus on speaking and communication skills practice and teacher-student correction slots. You will be trained to think in the language you are learning
Our conversation lessons are for students looking to improve the speaking skills on their language learning process. Course is offered at 3 core levels and designed to follow on smoothly from one level to the next. It will give you a clear sense of progression and achievement.
How Conversation Lessons Work
The conversation lessons are hosted using an online platform which replicates the face-to-face environment. This allows teachers and students to interact and enjoy a classroom environment in an online setting. During the lessons you will practice your speaking and listening skills with other language learners.

Conversation Courses Levels
Our online conversation courses are designed for students to expand the knowledge of the language. If you are unsure of your level, you can take our online language level test. This will allow you to understand your current level.
In the basic conversation classes you will be covering the key elements to start a conversation. The course is aimed at students studying at beginner level (beginner 1, 2 and 3) and to help accelerate the language speaking skills. We request that you have completed a minimum of 10 hours of learning before signing up for our Basic Conversation Classes.
At mid level we offer competent conversation lessons. The level is designed for you to gain a solid understanding of the language before joining the next level. The course is for students of Elementary (1, 2 and 3) and Intermediate (1, 2 and 3) of the CEFR levels.
At higher level you can join the expert conversation classes. It will help you develop your communication skills to a native-speaking level. Classes for students of Upper Intermediate, Advanced and Proficiency levels.

What will I learn?
Our Course Outlines give an overview of the content and learning framework of Cactus courses. Includes themes, grammar and vocabulary you can typically expect to cover. These are intended as a guide only. Language teachers may at times adapt the course content to suit the specific level, aims and interests of the class.
How do I know what level I am?
Are you unsure where to start or progress to? Then take our level test and read our level descriptions for guidance.
Do I receive a qualification or certificate?
At the end of your course you receive a certificate of participation. You will be able to be download it from your MyCactus account. This confirms the language and level of course you have taken. Our course levels are based on two internationally recognised systems. You will have a universally accepted reference for your studies. (Important: Please note that you must complete the end of course questionnaire sent to you to be able to get your certificate! You will receive the course questionnaire by e-mail at the end of your course.)
Do I need a course book?
You will need a course book to attend your course. Course books are not included in the course fees. We recommend that you buy your own course book separately before your course starts. We will let you know which course book you will require and advise where you can purchase this. Please note that a course book often covers more than one level. So if you progress to the next course, you may not necessarily need to buy a new book. Again, we will advise you of this at the time. The course book is chosen by our teachers and academic team. This is based on which book is most suitable for the level of the class whilst offering the most communicative approach.
