Sales

International Education Consultant

You will be responsible for promoting our worldwide language course portfolio to a wide audience base over the phone and via email. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with their international partners.

We are looking for a results driven and tenacious individual, with a natural flair for sales and a strong desire to exceed targets. We offer excellent growth opportunities, travel, and performance linked remuneration. Based in Brighton, UK.

Reporting to: Head of Agency

As International Sales Consultant you will be

✅ Providing first class customer & sales service, striving to exceed customers’ expectations
✅ Delivering the entire client experience, from enquiry through to post trip follow up
✅ Converting international leads by telephone, Skype, chat and email
✅ Prioritising enquiries and providing a 4hr TAT to calls & emails from customers
✅ Understanding customers’ needs by asking the right questions
✅ Providing accurate and professional information and advice to clients based on their needs.
✅ Liaising with school partners from all over the world by telephone, Skype and email
✅ Engaging in pro-active sales approach through sourcing leads and managing projects to create additional lead generation channels
✅ Considering company and departmental targets when making decisions
✅ Applying cross-selling techniques where appropriate
✅ Aiming to exceed monthly sales targets

Marketing

✅ Provide marketing team with data and insights into quality of leads, regional hot-spots, conversion rates
✅ Provide information and suggestions for offers and promotions
✅ Create seasonal packages exclusive to this organisation
✅ Assisting in organisation of and attending trade shows at least twice per year, sometimes over a weekend or evening

Working as part of a team

✅ Share workload and information and assisting others when needed
✅ This may also involve assisting other departments when needed
✅ Representing the company

Skills & Qualities Required

Operations Coordinator

Cactus works with a large number of freelance language teachers to deliver our foreign language courses in the UK as well as courses for private and corporate clients worldwide. The Operations Coordinator will ensure the operational efficiency of our language courses and maintain a positive relationship between Cactus and our wide range of foreign language teachers.

The Operations Coordinator reports directly into the Managing Director and works closely with the Language Courses Manager and the Head of Corporate Training.

Key Responsibilities Include

✅ To manage the operations team
✅ To manage the communications with all freelance teaching staff
✅ To manage the searches for new teaching staff and arrange the interviews on a continuous basis
✅ To assign teachers to the evening language classes; ensure each student group is profitable by not exceeding teachers’ rates; communicate all logistical details of the courses to the teachers; maintain regular flow of information and dialogue with the teachers and other departments
✅ To ensure teachers complete their online class records through the system/emails
✅ To be responsible for assigning the appropriate course materials with the input of the teachers.
✅ Order all course books and materials for teachers and ensure timely delivery and best purchase price
✅ To be in charge of creating and submitting teacher invoices on a monthly basis
✅ To manage all teacher-related student and teacher feedback and field to the correct member of staff for solutions.
✅ To take the lead, and liaise with the Language Courses Manager on new functionality and improvement of systems. Review the systems on a regular basis to increase productivity and bring about improved efficiency.
✅ To liaise with the Language Courses Manager on a regular basis on all aspects of the Evening language courses.
✅ To liaise with the MD on operational improvements, difficulties, team performance and financial impact of the operations department
✅ Produce and present reports on teacher operations and recruitment as required
✅ Represent Cactus on social media platforms as and when is required
✅ Liaise with teachers to promote Cactus courses as regional representatives and ensure they receive the marketing materials required

Experience & Qualifications

✅ Experience in an office environment
✅ Experience of learning a language in a classroom environment
✅ Fluent in a minimum of two languages
✅ Computer (Word, Excel, Outlook) and web literate

Essential Qualities

✅ High level of organizational skills
✅ Strong administration skills
✅ Proven track record of working quickly in a pressurized environment
✅ Proven ability to find solutions and perform tasks within limited time frames
✅ Confident, self-motivated, pro-active, solution driven and enthusiastic

Internship (Sales, Operations and Marketing)

Cactus Language Training is a forward thinking, dynamic, international language training company based in the beautiful and cultural city of Brighton in the South East of England. We have a professional and friendly team of around fifteen people who work from office in Brighton (Hove).

An internship at Cactus offers versatility, responsibility, autonomy and practical, on the job training and experience of a diverse range of activities. Many of our permanent staff started as intern with us.
You will need to be adaptable and flexible with a hands-on approach to your work, bags of initiative, enthusiasm, creativity, lots of ideas, an eye for detail and an inquisitive mind.
Good spoken and written English (minimum level B2/C1) as well as excellent communication skills are essential and one other language.

Possible Intern Tasks
Operations

Cactus works with a large number of freelance language teachers and this role would include supporting the academic and operations staff in their communication with the teachers.

✅ Assist with teacher searches within our database and outside
✅ Communicate with teachers both by email and telephone.
✅ Assist the Director of Studies in different tasks such as contacting references and organizing Teacher Seminars

Customer service

We are a very busy company and our customers can be from anywhere in the world so an ability to communicate with people from many different cultures and backgrounds is essential. We offer many different language learning solutions and this role would include supporting our customer service executives.
✅ Create a strong rapport with clients, identify their needs and offer a suitable option
✅ Liaise with schools and accommodation providers

✅ Business development
✅ Affiliate marketing
✅ Website and content management
✅ Database maintenance

Marketing
✅ Perform market research and produce market research reports
✅ Perform competitors analysis reports
✅ Participate in direct sales marketing campaigns

✅ Amend, update and edit website content
✅ Update the database/cross checking information
✅ Assist with Social Media searches

Requirements
✅ Note, we can only accept applicants who participate in a European programme such as Erasmus or Leonardo Da Vinci or where the internship is a mandatory part of your studies.
✅ A very good level of English (B2/C1).
✅ The minimum stay is 3 months, preferably longer.

Remuneration
Please note that the internship is unpaid. We can, however, reimburse you for your expenses for lunch (up to £10/day) and local public transport.
